This expression takes Glenfiddich spirit, and ages it for 14 years. The dram is initially aged in former Bourbon American oak casks, before being finished for a period of charred new American oak barrels from the Kelvin Cooperage in Louisville, Kentucky. This finish supercharges the spirit with rich, vanilla-led oak notes.
The final product is a vibrant whisky that delivers notes of ripe apples, some hay-like grassy notes, toffee, honeyed malt, buttery oak, cornbread, thick vanilla custard, barrel char, sweet red cherries, milk chocolate and ripe bananas.
